Weekly picksFixtures, margins & deadlines

Each setup can publish up to 6 manually selected official fixtures per UK week; fewer may be available. The domestic programme can use Premiership, URC, Top 14, Champions Cup, Challenge Cup, Super Rugby Pacific and Japan League One. Separate international setups cover Six Nations, Rugby Championship, Rugby World Cup and Nations Championship. The published list is the competition entry list, not every fixture played that week.

Choose home win, away win or draw. Winner picks also require a 1–7 or 8+ winning-margin band. Match entry closes 60 minutes before kick-off. The exact-tries challenge closes at the earliest selected match’s lock time. Accepted picks cannot be edited. An earlier reschedule can bring a cutoff forward; a later kick-off does not reopen a locked pick.

New weeks have their own published rounds. Previous results and weekly standings remain available rather than being erased.

Tries bonusExact totals & completed matches

When offered, predict the exact combined tries across the final included completed fixtures. A near miss earns zero. Verified zero tries is a real total; missing try data is not treated as zero and delays the bonus. If no completed fixtures are included, there is no exact-tries award.

A postponed, cancelled or unupdated fixture may remain visible until the round is completed. Settlement uses confirmed official results and an explicitly finalised included/excluded fixture set. Uncompleted or excluded matches earn no points in that round. Once a fixture is excluded, playing it later does not add it back to that old round or its try total.

Outright championsSeason winners & closing times

Outright markets have their own published closing times and one immutable team selection per account. A correct confirmed champion earns 500 points. Outrights never contribute to a weekly table.

Check the market’s stated deadline before choosing. Published entries keep their recorded rules; corrected champions adjust the original award and history.

Polls & fan votesBallots, XVs & write-in names

Use your existing Rugby One login to submit. Each account may submit one ballot per poll or award. Accepted votes cannot be changed through public controls. Voting on the homepage and in Clubhouse is the same ballot and the same participation opportunity.

Opening and closing times follow UK local time, including GMT/BST. The server enforces the deadline and validates that the chosen option or nominee belongs to that ballot. New weekly polls use new records; old ballots and results are retained.

A valid XV needs one eligible nominee in each of the 15 positions, with 15 distinct players. It earns one 10-point award after the complete ballot saves. Incomplete selections are not valid XV participation.

For a player write-in, enter the player’s first and last name; matching players appear as you type. Normal capitalisation and extra spaces are accepted. Approved aliases can identify the same player or team. A shared surname or uncertain spelling needs clarification or explicit submission for review. Someone missing from the catalogue can still be submitted for review.

Original submitted text is kept for review. Public results show approved names or answer groups. A resolved answer matching a listed option counts under that option once. General talking points are grouped as complete answers; different opinions are not merged simply because they mention the same player.

Points & your record

Points guideWhat each correct call earns

Participation rewards valid eligible activity. Predictions reward the correct sporting outcome. A ballot may be published without points; check its scoring label before entering.

Poll ballot
5points
Once per account and poll; participation counts regardless of the majority answer.
Fan-award ballot
10points
Once per account and award; choosing the winning nominee is not required.
Complete XV ballot
10points
One award for the entire XV, not one per player.
Correct winner
20points
The right team with the wrong winning-margin band.
Winner + margin
30points
Total award, not an extra bonus on top. Bands are 1–7 and 8+ points.
Correct draw
50points
An actual drawn result; no margin selection or margin bonus.
Outright champion
500points
Settled against the confirmed champion under the market’s published rules.
Exact tries
90points
Exact only, across the final included completed fixture set when this challenge is enabled.
Incorrect / entry only
0points
No entry points and no points for a near-miss on the exact-tries challenge.
Leaderboard periodsWeekly, seasonal, yearly & all-time
Weekly, per prediction setup
UK Monday–Sunday. Selected match points and the exact-tries bonus only; no poll, fan-award, XV or outright points. The Predictions room shows the selected programme’s available weeks.
Domestic season
Eligible domestic match, exact-tries and outright points in the published season calendar. The dates shown with the selected season define its window. This follows the European club-season calendar; changing to an international display does not move domestic points.
UK calendar year
Domestic and international match, exact-tries and outright points attributed to that January–December year. Participation ballots are excluded.
All-time
Every eligible category, including regular polls, fan awards and XV participation. Updates immediately. Season or year totals are not transferred into all-time again.

Participation belongs to its original submission period. Match awards use the original published kick-off, weekly bonuses the earliest original selected kick-off, and outright awards the first confirmed champion date. Later corrections adjust those original periods, not a new correction-week competition.

Standings may begin a fresh display window after an administrative reset. The earlier scoring history remains recorded, old ballots do not become eligible again and the reset does not mint tokens. Token balance resets are separate from leaderboard resets.

Shared positionsEqual points & podium names

Points determine rank. Equal totals share a rank, and the next distinct total receives the next position: for example, 1, 1, 2. Alphabetical usernames do not decide a winner or prize.

The weekly table shows the top 20 distinct point totals, which can represent more than 20 accounts. Each podium position shows up to 3 tied names; larger groups show the full number of tied accounts. Positions 4–20 show a name for a single account, otherwise the group’s account count.

Any future prize allocation for shared positions needs its own published reward rules. A displayed rank is not a promise of an available prize. Rank movement is shown only where a compatible saved comparison exists; a missing earlier position is not proof that someone is a new entrant.

Good to know

Official scoringLaunch, eligibility & demo records

Official scoring begins no earlier than 1 January 2027 at 08:00 GMT. Only eligible entries accepted after official scoring actually opens enter official standings. Earlier development/demo records are not imported. Test or excluded accounts can retain their recorded credits without a public rank.

Published entries keep their recorded scoring rules. Future rule changes apply to future content and must be explained before entry opens.

Results & updatesVisibility, percentages & refreshes

“Participants” means distinct accounts with valid ballots in that poll, not people, impressions or selections across unrelated polls. XV totals count complete valid ballots; every position uses that whole-ballot denominator. Excluding a nominee keeps a valid ballot in that position’s denominator, with its selection in the excluded-candidate bucket.

Results are visible after your recorded ballot or once voting closes, and remain available when archived or cancelled. Percentages use all valid participants, including pending and excluded-candidate buckets. Rounding to one decimal can total 99.9% or 100.1%; zero-vote results show zero. Approved write-ins may be paged, with the full participant denominator retained.

Results and standings check about every 15 seconds while visible; a successful save requests an immediate check. Published lists and programme choices generally check every 60 seconds. Hidden tabs pause and catch up when visible. Network and processing delays can add time; this is automatic checking rather than second-by-second streaming.

A “checked” timestamp means a successful read. It is different from the latest stored ballot, original point attribution or a saved comparison time. Separately checked answer pages and main results can briefly show different snapshots, with each page’s own participant count stated.

During a connection problem, the last successful result can remain visible with a warning. If a submission outcome is uncertain, check your saved entry before retrying. A duplicate request cannot earn another ballot or participation credit. A points confirmation appears only after the ballot and applicable award are genuinely saved.

Review & correctionsNames, cancelled ballots & adjustments

Approving, resolving, merging or unmerging answers organises existing ballots; it does not create more votes or points. Hiding original text or excluding a candidate does not by itself void valid participation. Unresolved answers remain in the review bucket; valid ballots for excluded candidates remain in the other-valid-ballots bucket. Both stay in the valid participant denominator.

Explicitly voiding a ballot removes it from valid result counts and reverses its dependent points and earned tokens. It remains recorded and cannot be submitted again. Whole-poll cancellation retains ballots/results while reversing applicable participation credits. Restoring a cancelled poll restores original valid entitlements once in their original period, without reopening voting. Individually voided ballots remain voided. Ordinary closing retains valid participation credits.

Corrected fixture results or confirmed champions may increase or reduce previously awarded points and the matching earned-token record. Corrections retain the original award period and history; they are not a second new award.

Tokens & rewardsYour balance & future benefits

Earn 1 token for every point awarded. Tokens currently have no cash value, and redemption is not yet available. Future rewards and eligibility will be announced separately.

Your existing account owns both the retained scoring history and separate token balance. Future spending would reduce that balance while keeping the competition record. Genuine corrections or voids can adjust points and earned tokens; moving between leaderboard periods or resetting standings does not award them again.

Membership benefits, tickets, merchandise and other rugby experiences are ideas for a future programme. Availability, eligibility, entry/redemption terms and shared-rank prize arrangements must be announced before it opens. Earning points does not guarantee any particular future reward.
